The 2026 Nurses Day theme,
“Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives,” speaks to the vital role nurses play not only in caring for patients, but in shaping the future of healthcare itself. When nurses are supported, respected, and empowered, lives are not only saved, they are transformed.
At TELL, we hold deep gratitude for the nursing staff involved in organ donation. Today, and every day, we thank you for the lives you touch and the hope you make possible.

So today, while we celebrate moms for their endless giving, here’s a wild thought: take a page from Mom’s book and become an organ donor and give life too. Because giving the gift of life isn’t just a “mom thing” …
Call your mom. Thank her. And remember to TELL your family of your wishes to be someone ellse’s hero.

🏃🏻‍♂️ Outrun unhealthy bad habits.
Staying active is key to keeping your organs healthy and reducing the risk of organ failure. But for those facing transplant, it’s just as important to remain as strong and active as possible while waiting, so their bodies are healthy enough to withstand the surgery and recovery.

Who’s joining us for CF Genes Day on 22 May 2026?

A day to wear your denim with purpose and make a real difference, one pair of jeans at a time. Led by the South African Cystic Fibrosis Association, this meaningful initiative raises awareness and funds for people living with cystic fibrosis (CF) across South Africa. Donations help provide essential medical equipment and improve access to life-saving treatments.

So, what is cystic fibrosis? CF is a genetic condition that affects the lungs and digestive system, causing thick, sticky mucus to build up in the body. This can lead to breathing difficulties, frequent lung infections, and challenges with digestion. In some cases, lung damage can become severe enough to require a transplant.

Wear your jeans, show your support, and be part of a day that brings awareness, hope, and help to those living with CF.

Burns happen fast… recovery doesn’t. So let’s not learn the hard way. This week, the National Burns Association of South Africa reminds us to:

Severe burns can require skin grafts—and that’s where organ and tissue donation becomes life-changing. Donated skin can help protect wounds, reduce pain, and give patients a fighting chance at recovery.

“Places I Have Been Since My Transplant.”
Tell us about a place you have visited since your transplant and why it is meaningful to you. Perhaps it was a long-awaited holiday, a return to a favourite spot, a special family gathering, or simply somewhere that reminded you how precious life is. Most importantly, share why this experience may not have been possible without the gift of transplantation.
